Hello there!

I’m Katie, the founder of For the Dogs Rescue, a non-profit organization located in Dallas, Texas. Texas is one of the top states in homeless dogs, unnecessary euthanasias, and an overall abundance of dogs needing our help. I’ve spent a lot of time volunteering for a rescue as a foster mom and finally said to myself, could I be doing more?

And of course, the answer was an overwhelming YES. Being in my second year of vet school, am I absolutely crazy for deciding to start my own non-profit? Possibly. But I’ve realized that I have the time, the space, and the love in my heart to do more. I always knew I wanted to be a part of a rescue organization once I graduate vet school, so why not start now?

So here we are… doing this crazy thing. Thank you for joining me on this fulfilling journey to save lives. If there is one thing that connects everyone, it’s love. And if there’s one thing that deserves love the most, it’s dogs.

With Love,

Katie

For the Dogs Rescue works diligently through the process of rescuing, fostering and adopting out the pets in our care. We offer nationwide transport to get all rescues to their forever homes.

RESCUE

The first step is getting dogs out of the shelter or pound and into our care. We are dedicated to answering the call of saving lovable dogs who would otherwise be euthanized to make more space.

FOSTER

After being pulled out of the shelter/pound, our rescue pups get fully vetted, getting any necessary medication or procedure, all while living their best lives within the homes of one of our fosters.

ADOPT

Each of our dogs is blasted on our social media accounts, website, and email subscriptions. From there, we work through the process of selecting the very best forever home for every single rescue pup.
