Penny ***adopted***

Meet Penny!

Penny is a senior with a story. She was found as a stray but had a working microchip. The shelter was able to contact her previous owners, who told them that they no longer wanted her and that the helter could keep her. We saw her and immediately knew she needed out of the shelter.

We were expecting a delicate, slow old chihuahua, but Penny quickly surprised us all with the amount of spunk and youthfulness she has. We aren't sure exactly how old she is, but we estimate anywhere between 6-9 years. She is going to be getting a dental soon, is already spayed and up-to-date on vaccines, and just needs a loving home for retirement. She has what seems to be very small mammary tumors, which isn't uncommon in old dogs who were spayed later in life.

With all of that said, Penny is a special senior looking for a great retirement home. From the first day home from the shelter, she has been the spunkiest, sweetest little old chihuahua we could ask for and we know there is a perfect home for her out there!
